Lac la Hache is known for it’s excellent Kokanee fishing. Lake and Rainbow Trout may also be caught in the lake. Lake Trout can get up to 30 punds, while the Kokanee and Rainbow Trout average around 1-1.5 lbs. Lake Trout are mainly caught with deep trolling. Kokanee and Rainbow Trout seem to prefer spinning lures.
Small fish can be caught from shore, but fishing from a small pleasure craft is by far the preferred method. Boat Launches may be found by the Provincial Park access as well as in town, at the end of a short street running perpendicular to the post office pull-off.
In the wintertime, Lac La Hache is coated with ice, and ice fishing becomes a favorite.
