Lac La Hache Fathers’ Day Fishing Derby

- June 20th to 21st
Two days of fun and fishing in celebration of Father’s Day, because what better way to spend Father’s Day than out on beautiful Lac La Hache with Dad?

You might catch a prize-winning fish, but even if you don’t, you will have the memory, and likely a “One That Got Away” story to share. There are cash prizes for the largest fish, 2nd largest fish, largest rainbow trout and largest white fish, as well as draws, and a silent auction.

Derby is on from 8:00 AM on Saturday, June 20th, to 12:00PM on Sunday.

Williams Lake Stampede

- June 26th to 29th, 2015
Head just 45 minutes north of Lac La Hache to the famous Williams Lake Stampede during the Canada Day long weekend to take in the excitement of the Rodeo! Feel the adrenaline rush watching some of the best cowboys in Canada and the US take on Bull Riding, or hold your breath watching the lightning-fast runs during Ladies Barrel Racing, and so much more! From Bareback Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Chuckwagon Races and more rodeo action, plus carnival rides, concerts and food! It’s a fun event for the entire family!

Lac La Hache Garlic Festival

- August 29 & 30, 2015
The Garlic Festival offers garlic lovers a unique opportunity to celebrate this wonderful food! This annual event was first held in 2000, and has been going stong ever since, with a master garlic chef cook-off, , live music and performers, shopping, demonstrations, and all sorts of garlic treats!
