Lac La Hache and surrounding area have a few key events that you may want to time your visit for! The main annual events are the Williams Lake Stampede and the Garlic Festival. If you are a fishing buff, you may want to participate in the Father’s Day Fishing Derby!

There are cash prizes for the largest fish, 2nd largest fish, largest rainbow trout and largest white fish, as well as draws, and a silent auction.

87th Annual Williams Lake Stampede

Though not in Lac La Hache itself, the famous Williams Lake Stampede is only an hour north on Hwy. 97, in Williams Lake. This famed Stampede goes on for 4 days on the Long Canada Day weekend, and spectators will be treated to the pulse-pounding rodeo experience, from the Bull Riding, to Barrel Racing, Bareback and Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Chuckwagon Racing, and much more!

South Cariboo Garlic Festival 2013
